Two Little Monkies Jumping in the bed....

We had to have a little fun last night after the doctor's visit. Mathas lost some more weight and is down to 5lbs 2oz. We have to go back today for another weight check. If he hasn't gained any weight we will have to take him to the ER. The Doc gave us formula to use instead of breastmilk. We have been feeding him every two hours. Other than that he is doing great. He is a night owl. Last night we sat up and looked at each other for thirty minutes. He just stared at me the whole time studying my face. I told him all about fishing and swimming in the Frio River. You should see this boy after he eats. He could care less where we lay him down. As long as his tummy is full, he's happy. Today he got a visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Martin.

Last night he got his first bath at home. He cried until we started scrubbing his head with the brush. Then he closed his eyes and relaxed. Who doesn't like to have their hair washed??? (The black thing is his cord, not his penis.)

Finally Home

Getting him ready for the ride home was fun... He cried for thirty minutes. It was great.

We got home Saturday afternoon. Mathas is doing great. We got a visit from Papa Loup and Gram Sue Saturday. They got to stay up and party with Mathas into the early hours of the morning. It was fun.... Tara is doing a great job. Her milk finally came in Sunday evening. Madison and Aunt Emily visited us Sunday night. (Madison is a little jealous.)

After a few good feedings this boy is happy. Meme, Nanny, and Po came back to visit today.

Peace At Last!

Well we thought he was eating good last night until we went to put him down to sleep. That boy had different plans. Apparently he didn't get enough to eat. After hours of attempting to satisfy his hunger we gave in to supplementing formula just for one meal. He was on that bottle like a pit bull on a ham bone. Then the real fun started. He got a tummy ache and didn't sleep for more than three minutes. We took turns staying up with him and burping him. Finally a new milk woman showed Tara some new techniques for getting that milk to pour out. He has been asleep for the past 30 mins! Tara decided to get some food in while he was sleeping. I know she got frustrated last night/this morning but she did so good. I'm very proud of her.

I'm A Good Boy!

Today started out rough. He was circumcised at 8 this morning and was sad all day. He wouldn't eat very much. But by 7pm he gave us two dirty diapers. He also ate from 8pm until 9:30pm. Which is pretty good for today. He loves being held by his mommy. Here are some pics from yesterday and today. I still need one of Papa Loup and Mathas. I'll post that one later. Here goes dirty diaper number 3.......

He Has Arrived!

Wow! Anyone that does not believe in God has not seen what I saw today. The most amazing and beautiful creature was brought into our lives this afternoon. Tara and Mathas are doing great. They both are snoozing right now. I'm just going to post some pics tonight and I'll post more tomorrow. I can barely comprehend what I'm typing. Today was the best day of my life!
