Just Like My Daddy.

A long long time ago my Daddy was my size...maybe a little bigger. Nanny called him "husky" and "big boned". I don't think his bones ever shrunk. They're still big. Here is Daddy 31 years ago and here is me today. Kind of similar.

I Have Thumbs!!!

Today I found my thumb! It fits perfectly in my mouth and makes me smile. Early this morning I threw up all over me and Daddy. I told him I wasn't ready to eat but he insisted. Boy, I sure showed him. He even had to change our shirts and wash them with my blanket.

He Looks Like His Momma.

Here is a picture of Tara after she was a week old. He does indeed look like her. Poor thing!

Who Is Holding Me?!?!?!

He was a bit surprised when he woke up with George Sr holding him.

Mathas gained a whole ounce!!! That was enough to keep him out of the ER. We just have to keep going strong with the formula. Tara can pump and use the breastmilk with the baby formula. He'll get a double shot of goodness. He is so darn cute. He has big hands, big feet, and long legs.

Two Little Monkies Jumping in the bed....

We had to have a little fun last night after the doctor's visit. Mathas lost some more weight and is down to 5lbs 2oz. We have to go back today for another weight check. If he hasn't gained any weight we will have to take him to the ER. The Doc gave us formula to use instead of breastmilk. We have been feeding him every two hours. Other than that he is doing great. He is a night owl. Last night we sat up and looked at each other for thirty minutes. He just stared at me the whole time studying my face. I told him all about fishing and swimming in the Frio River. Here are a few pics of his new friend George Jr.

Come and knock on my door.....

Got Milk?

Give me milk and I'll give you sleep! -Mathas 2009

You should see this boy after he eats. He could care less where we lay him down. As long as his tummy is full, he's happy. Today he got a visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Martin.
Last night he got his first bath at home. He cried until we started scrubbing his head with the brush. Then he closed his eyes and relaxed. Who doesn't like to have their hair washed??? (The black thing is his cord, not his penis.)

Finally Home

Getting him ready for the ride home was fun... He cried for thirty minutes. It was great.

We got home Saturday afternoon. Mathas is doing great. We got a visit from Papa Loup and Gram Sue Saturday. They got to stay up and party with Mathas into the early hours of the morning. It was fun.... Tara is doing a great job. Her milk finally came in Sunday evening. Madison and Aunt Emily visited us Sunday night. (Madison is a little jealous.)
